Sustainable tourism supporting SMEs in the Mediterranean area

SMARTIES for SMEs is a project funded by the European COSME program with a budget of more than 3 million euros, involving 8 partners, including 5 Chambers of Commerce from the Mediterranean region. The project’s objective is to strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs in the tourism sector by developing their capacity to drive the dual green and digital transitions, and to promote innovation, resilience, sustainability, and quality throughout the tourism value chain in the EU’s Mediterranean region. At the heart of the project is financial and technical support for 75 innovative projects in Italy, Greece, Portugal, Cyprus, and Slovenia—selected through a specific call for proposals—to enable innovative solutions for sustainable, digital, and inclusive tourism.
