1. Data Controller and scope of this Policy
The Data Controller is Timesis S.r.l., with registered office at Via San Giovanni Niccolini 7, San Giuliano Terme, 56017, Italy. For any matters concerning the protection of personal data, Timesis can be contacted at info@timesis.it.
This Cookie Policy describes the use of cookies and similar technologies on the website www.timesis.it, their purposes, and the ways in which users can manage their preferences.
This document supplements the website’s Privacy Policy, which provides further information regarding the processing of personal data.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small pieces of information stored on the user’s device while browsing a website. They may, for example, be used to remember a preference, enable certain functions, or collect information about the use of the website.
Cookies may last only for the duration of the browsing session or remain stored on the device until their scheduled expiry date or until they are deleted by the user. Whether consent is required depends on the purpose for which the cookies are used.
The website also uses a storage mechanism known as Session Storage, described in Section 5. This is a technology other than cookies that stores information for the duration of the browser tab session. Pasted text
3. Technical and functional cookies
The website uses cookies that are necessary to manage users’ consent preferences and their browsing language.
These tools are used exclusively for their respective technical functions and therefore do not require the prior consent applicable to non-essential cookies. In particular, a cookie used to record the user’s consent choices does not itself require further consent.
Preference management through Complianz
The website uses the Complianz plugin to record the preferences expressed through the cookie banner and apply them to the services configured on the website. The related cookies store the user’s choices by category or service, as well as the version of the associated policy.
| Cookie | Domain | Purpose | Detected duration |
|---|---|---|---|
cmplz_banner-status | www.timesis.it | Stores the display or dismissal status of the cookie banner. | 365 days |
cmplz_consented_services | www.timesis.it | Stores the choices relating to individual services managed through the consent system. | 365 days |
cmplz_functional | www.timesis.it | Stores the status of the functional category. | 365 days |
cmplz_preferences | www.timesis.it | Stores the user’s choice relating to the preferences category. | 365 days |
cmplz_statistics | www.timesis.it | Stores the user’s choice relating to the statistics category. | 365 days |
cmplz_marketing | www.timesis.it | Stores the user’s choice relating to the marketing category. | 365 days |
cmplz_policy_id | www.timesis.it | Stores the identifier of the version of the policy associated with the user’s choices. | 365 days |
The functions of the Complianz cookies are described in the plugin documentation. The cmplz_marketing cookie records a preference and does not, in itself, carry out advertising or profiling activities. Likewise, cmplz_statistics does not directly collect browsing statistics.
Language management through WPML
| Cookie | Domain | Purpose | Detected duration |
|---|---|---|---|
wp-wpml_current_language | www.timesis.it | Stores the current language and supports the website’s multilingual functionality. | 1 day |
This cookie is used by the WPML plugin, including for website operations that require the current language to be identified. Pasted text
4. Statistical cookies: Google Analytics
The website uses Google Analytics 4, an analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, in order to understand how the website is used and to improve its content and the browsing experience. The service makes it possible to distinguish users and sessions through identifiers stored in cookies.
The information processed may include online identifiers, pages visited, session information, and technical data relating to the browser and device. Depending on the service settings, information concerning the approximate geographical location of users may also be processed. Such information should not automatically be regarded as anonymous solely because it does not contain the user’s name.
Google Analytics and the related cookies are activated only after the user has given consent to the “Statistics” category. Refusing consent does not prevent normal use of the website.
| Cookie | Service | Domain | Purpose | Duration detected in the browser |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | .timesis.it | Distinguishes users through an identifier. | Approximately 400 days* |
_ga_NSZ0P8Q884 | Google Analytics 4 | .timesis.it | Stores the session status for the Google Analytics property associated with the website. | Approximately 400 days* |
The functions described above correspond to those documented by Google for the _ga and _ga_<container-id> cookies. Although these cookies are stored under the website’s domain, they are used as part of an external service that involves the transmission of information to Google.
Analytics cookie duration: data managed through Google Analytics is retained for 14 months. Pasted text
5. Other storage technologies: WordPress
The website uses the wpEmojiSettingsSupports item in the browser’s Session Storage, which is linked to WordPress checks concerning emoji support. This item stores a technical result relating to the display of website content.
| Name | Technology | Origin | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
wpEmojiSettingsSupports | Session Storage | https://www.timesis.it | Stores the result of checks concerning emoji support. | Browser tab session |
Session Storage normally retains information until the relevant browser tab or window session ends. Information may remain available when the same session is reloaded or restored.
6. Purposes and legal bases
For any personal data processed through technical functionalities, the legal basis is Timesis’s legitimate interest in ensuring the correct functioning of the website and managing users’ preferences, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, insofar as this is necessary and without prejudice to the rights and freedoms of the data subjects.
Where the recording of consent choices constitutes the processing of personal data, such processing also serves the purpose of complying with the obligation to demonstrate consent under the GDPR.
For statistical analysis through Google Analytics, the legal basis is the user’s consent, pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree No. 196/2003, with regard to the use of the relevant cookies and tools on the user’s device. Pasted text
7. How to give, modify and withdraw consent
Through the cookie banner, users may accept non-essential tools, reject them, or customise their preferences. If consent to statistical cookies is not provided, Google Analytics remains disabled.
Simply continuing to browse the website or scrolling through a page does not constitute consent. Users may subsequently change their choices through the “Manage consent” controls available on the website.
Withdrawal of consent stops any subsequent processing based on that consent and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

Users may also use their browser settings to delete cookies or restrict their storage. Removing or blocking technical cookies may affect the functionality for which such cookies are necessary. Deleting cookies that store consent preferences may require the user to make their choices again. Pasted text
8. Data retention
The durations indicated in the tables above refer to the storage of cookies on the user’s device. They are separate from the retention period of information within the systems used for statistical analysis.
For Google Analytics, user-level and event-level data subject to the property’s data retention settings are retained for 14 months.
The retention period for user identifiers is reset when new user activity occurs.
At the end of the applicable retention period, the data subject to these settings is deleted through the service’s periodic deletion processes. These settings do not apply in the same way to standard aggregated Google Analytics reports. Pasted text
9. Data recipients and international data transfers
To the extent necessary for the purposes described above, data may be processed by authorised Timesis personnel and by service providers responsible for the management and technical maintenance of the website.
With regard to Google Analytics, information is processed by Google in accordance with the applicable contractual terms. For data processed on behalf of Timesis, the relationship is governed by the applicable data processing terms, under which Google acts as a data processor.
Use of the service may involve processing and transfers outside the European Economic Area, including to the United States. Google states that Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for transfers covered by the relevant certification. For transfers not covered by an adequacy decision, Google’s documentation provides, where required, for the use of the Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data subjects may request information from Timesis regarding recipients, international transfers and applicable safeguards, as well as a copy of the relevant safeguards, using the contact details provided in this Policy.
Further information is available in Google’s documentation concerning the use of data from websites and applications that use its services and in its documentation on international data transfers. Pasted text
10. Data subjects’ rights
In the cases and within the limits provided for by the GDPR, data subjects may request access to their personal data, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing. They may also exercise the right to data portability where the relevant conditions are met and object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to their particular situation.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time through the controls available on the website.
Requests may be sent to info@timesis.it. Timesis will respond within the time limits established by the GDPR, normally within one month, subject to any permitted extensions, which will be communicated to the data subject.
Data subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or with any other competent supervisory authority.
11. Updates to this Policy
This Cookie Policy will be updated in the event of changes to the services used, their configuration, or the relevant processing activities.
If new purposes are introduced for which consent is required, users will be informed and the related processing will be subject to the prior collection of valid consent.
