Timesis Ltd. Celebrates its 20 years

Timesis Ltd. was founded in 1991 and has been based since then in San Giuliano Terme (near Pisa, in Tuscany). A second office was established in Turin (Piemonte) in 1998.

The current Timesis staff, in addition to its four associates, consists of 18 permanent professionals, all established experts in various disciplines of environmental sciences: geology, soil science, biology, agronomy, forestry; the working group includes also engineers and economists.

Timesis provides its expertise in the fields of study, management and protection of natural resources (soil, water, fauna, vegetation, land, etc).
The company works for private organizations (from non-profit to private companies) and for public bodies (European Commission, national and foreign authorities, agencies for Agriculture and Forestry development, National Parks, Universities, Research Centers).

Timesis operates mainly in the international arena by using various financial instruments, especially those provided by the European Commission.

With the experience gained in the use of European programmes, in recent years the company has been offering services for the formulation of European projects, for the support to the coordination and reporting of E.C. funded projects, even in areas only marginally related to its specific skills (waste management, development of research and relationships between universities, education and training).

In its process of internationalization, over the last ten years Timesis has given great impetus to the activities of international aid and transnational cooperation.

In 2001, together with eight other European companies, similar by size and organization setting, Timesis founded the Astrale Consortium. As Astrale member, Timesis is currently implementing monitoring activities of projects financed within the EC-cofinanced Life Environment and Life Nature programmes, in Italy, Slovenia and Malta.
